After almost 20 years of working with Ilona in both my General Dental Office and my Sleep Disorders Office I found myself deeply saddened by the fact that we were losing her to a higher cause, her family. Ilona and her family were moving to Alberta, and although she has been accustomed to commuting up to an hour to come to work, Alberta is simply not doable. I, along with all of our team in both offices wish her well in her new digs and quite frankly, once she gets settled in, should she decide to continue in the Dental field some Dentist in Alberta will score big time, especially if they are interested in the management of Snoring and Sleep Apnea! Good Luck Ilona!
Sometimes in life, you win the lottery! When Ilona first told me several months ago that the decision was finalized, her family was moving to Alberta, I felt deflated. We had worked together so long, and her, Callie and I made such a great team in my Sleep Office, and she also did a fantastic job at my General office; putting up with me Chair-Side and ensuring all the Clinical Administrative needs were being met. I thought, “How am I going to find someone to fill those shoes?” I won the lottery! Elaine, which had worked with me in the same role for 10 years in the 1990’s heard about the opening and approached me with interest in the position. Elaine actually trained Ilona when she first started in the office so it was surreal to now watch Ilona training Elaine regarding the changes and advances that had taken place since her tenure in our office. Everyone in both offices was thrilled to hear Elaine was returning home! Sometimes I truly feel blessed. On behalf of everyone in both offices, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome Elaine back. Since her tenure in our office, she has worked in the pharmaceutical industry and is currently enrolled part time at McMaster University completing a Diploma in Marketing. I look forward to many years together with an exceptional and dedicated team member.
