•Start cleaning teeth before they erupt
	•Clean at playtime not bedtime
	•Lie child comfortably on lap, floor, table,  etc.
	Gently wipe gums and teeth with soft brush or damp washcloth
	•Use dab of toothpaste when teeth have erupted
	•Make it seem like fun rather than a chore
